Program Description

Event Details

Many library patrons will remember meeting favorite writers at previous author events at TPL, including the one held in April 2024. This year’s event will again be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the library’s historic Carnegie Room.

Attendees will have the chance to visit one-on-one with authors from throughout northeast Oklahoma about the books they have written and how they go about pursuing their craft.

Authors will have their books on hand to sell, and several will also be making short presentations about different approaches and techniques used in writing.

Best-selling author Traci Sorell will be the keynote speaker at noon during the 2026 Author Meet and Greet on Saturday, April 18 at the Tahlequah Public Library, 120 S. College.

The biennial event, co-sponsored by the Tahlequah Friends of the Public Library and TPL in association with local bookstore Too Fond of Books, will launch National Library Week, April 19-25. More information about authors and scheduling will be announced prior to the event.
