Hulbert Community Library is excited to host Let’s Talk About It, a book discussion series sponsored by Oklahoma Humanities (OH). Let’s Talk About It is designed to encourage participants to read and discuss literature based on a central theme. The theme for the fall session is Private Investigations. Throughout this session readers will discover detective stories that are uniquely American. The series begins with Donis Casey’s The Old Buzzard Had It Coming, then Bob Avey's Twisted Perception. Other featured books include Capitol Offense by William Bernhardt, Letter From Home by Carolyn Hart, and The American Cafe by Sara Sue Hoklotubbe. A literary expert will begin each program with a 30 to 40-minute talk, offering a deeper understanding of the text, the author, and the book’s themes, allowing readers to gain insights before the discussion unfolds.

 

Come to one session, or join us for the entire series. Programs are free and open to all and include a free subscription to Oklahoma Humanities Magazine. Books may be picked up at Hulbert Community Library one month before the book discussion. The schedule is as follows:
