SAIL is a fitness program for older adults, which can be done sitting or standing. Performing exercise that improves strength, balance, and fitness is critical for staying active and reducing the risk or falls. The SAIL program was designed with these principals in mind. Each class includes warm-up, stretching, cardio, balance, and strengthening exercises, as well as a cool down period.

Tai Chi: Moving for Better Balance is an evidence-based fall prevention program that was designed to be used in community-based organizations. Accumulating evidence suggests that Tai Chi eight-form exercises are an effective means of improving balance, functional limitations, and muscle strength, which reduce the risk of falling.
A regular meeting for the practice of Tai Chi requires completion of previous Tai Chi class.

Community Meeting - Cherokee Nation: A History of Resilience
"Cherokee Nation: A History of Resilience" is free and open to the public with registration. Participants will be presented with a certificate of completion at the end of the class.
