Tai Chi: Moving for Better Balance is an evidence-based fall prevention program that was designed to be used in community-based organizations. Accumulating evidence suggests that Tai Chi eight-form exercises are an effective means of improving balance, functional limitations, and muscle strength, which reduce the risk of falling.

SAIL is a fitness program for older adults, which can be done sitting or standing. Performing exercise that improves strength, balance, and fitness is critical for staying active and reducing the risk or falls. The SAIL program was designed with these principals in mind. Each class includes warm-up, stretching, cardio, balance, and strengthening exercises, as well as a cool down period.
Looking for a way to stay active, improve your balance, and boost your overall wellness? Join us at the library for SAIL on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:15 am. The session begins on January 14, 2025, and runs through February 27, 2025.

Stay Active and Independent for Life (SAIL) is a strength, balance and fitness program for adults 65 and older.
These weekly classes consist of wellness and cultural lessons or demonstrations for ages 10+. Each week will be a different project.
