Tai Chi: Moving for Better Balance is an evidence-based fall prevention program that was designed to be used in community-based organizations. Accumulating evidence suggests that Tai Chi eight-form exercises are an effective means of improving balance, functional limitations, and muscle strength, which reduce the risk of falling.

In partnership with the Oklahoma Healthy Aging Initiative, Julie Klineline will introduce seniors to a series of slow, continuous movements. Classes will be held at the Indian Capital Technology Center in Sallisaw. This class series is made possible in part by a health literacy grant from the Oklahoma Department of Libraries and the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
